I'm fifteen and woul

I'm fifteen and would like advice on a beautiful, difficult piano piece (technique and music) for my next recital (plenty of time to learn it). I perform Romantic pieces the best. Chopin's Ballade No. 1 in G-minor Op. 23 is my absolute favorite that I've played so far. I'd like a piece around the difficulty of Hungarian Rhapsody No. 2. I want a very Romantic and expressive piece with many rubato opportunities. Any suggestions? Thanks

Thank you everyone who has helped me Most of the songs you all mentioned are ones that I have previously played and are definitely not challenging enough, like Fur Elise, Rondo Alla Turca, and the Chopin Nocturne. I'm looking into the Chopin scherzo's and the Grieg ballade. They're all really great pieces, especially to listen to, but I guess I don't find them aesthetically pleasing enough. Ugh... I'm so picky... I'm SO tempted to play Fantasie Impromptu again, but I played that in seventh grade and I don't want to take steps backwards.

Grieg's Ballade in G minor is good piece that changes tempi, time signatures, and I believe a few keys. It is quite a long piece, but still do-able nonetheless; just depends on how long you want to work on it.

A good one that is difficult(grade 8)and sounds amazing, try Rondo alla Turca.

Oops, this is a Classical piece, so not really what your're looking for.

Play one of the Chopin Scherzos. The first is wild and fast. The second is fast but has a great slow middle section, and the third is I think the most difficult because of very fast octaves and all the arpeggios. Try a listen- I bet you will like them. If you want something a little different, try some Mendelssohn, I especially like the Rondo Capriccioso In E, Op. 14. I hope I helped!
