特殊疑问句是一种 以特殊疑问词开头，对句中某一成分提问的句子。常用的疑问词包括：what（什么）、who（谁）、whose（谁的）、which（哪个）、when（何时）、where（何地）、how（怎样）、why（为何）等。
特殊疑问句的基本结构有两种：
疑问词+一般疑问句：
例如，“What class are you in？”（你在哪个班级？）。
疑问词+陈述句语序：
例如，“Who is singing in the room？”（谁在房间里唱歌？）。
回答特殊疑问句时，不能用“yes”或“no”，而是直接回答所问的内容，尤其是简略回答。
例如：
What：What is your name？（你叫什么名字？）
Who：Who is that man？（那个人是谁？）
When：When does the party start？（派对什么时候开始？）
Where：Where is the nearest subway station？（最近的地铁站在哪里？）
How：How do you spell your name？（你叫什么名字？）
Why：Why did you do that？（你为什么这么做？）
